Piraeus Bank Business Continuity Coordinators Complete Specialized Training with Deloitte Academy

In early December, Piraeus Bank employees serving as business continuity coordinators participated in a specialized training on Business Continuity Management Systems (BCMS), organized in collaboration with Deloitte Academy. 

The program focused on strengthening the Bank’s operational resilience and ability to respond effectively to crises and emergencies, while introducing best international practices in business continuity management in line with ISO 22301:2019 standards. 

During the training, participants explored key aspects of building and developing a BCMS, including: 

  • Principles of business continuity and operational resilience management; 
  • Conducting Business Impact Analysis (BIA) and defining key continuity metrics (RTO, RPO, MTD); 
  • Disaster Recovery Planning as an integral part of BCMS; 
  • The BCMS lifecycle based on the Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA) model; 
  • Roles, responsibilities, and coordination during crisis situations; 
  • Practical approaches to testing, training, and continuous system improvement. 

Training outcomes for the Bank: 

  • Participants refreshed their comprehensive understanding of BCMS structure and development; 
  • Enhanced skills in identifying critical business processes and assessing potential impacts of disruptions; 
  • Strengthened practical competencies in planning and recovery; 
  • Took another step forward in improving Piraeus Bank’s operational and cyber resilience.
