The grand opening of the exhibition ‘Our Athos’ under the patronage of Piraeus Bank was held on 15 April at the Art Hall D12 gallery

Grand opening of a unique exhibition ‘Our Athos’ Greek photographer Kostas Asimis under the patronage of Piraeus Bank was held on April 15 in Kiev. The opening ceremony was attended by customers and partners of Piraeus Bank.

‘In our opinion social responsibility is a business philosophy, which is expressed by three levels: in the daily operational activities of the bank, when the products and services meet the established high quality standards; at the corporate level – where we guarantee the performance of all obligations to customers, partners and employees; and the third – at level of the society’s needs, where our activities correspond to interests of various social groups: participation in charity race, increase of financial literacy, aid to poor. Now, thanks to Mr. Asimis this list replenished with cultural project, historical and spiritual value of which we want to share with the exhibition visitors’, – said Sergei Naumov, CEO of Piraeus Bank, in his speech at the exhibition’s opening.

With a greeting to the participants of the event and gratitude to Piraeus Bank for the organization of the exhibition spoke A. Papadopoulos, First Counsellor to Ambassador of Greece to Ukraine, S.Shumylo, Director of the International Institute of Mount Athos heritage in Ukraine, Vicar of the Kyiv Metropolis Bishop Boyarsky Theodosius.

Also during the event, D. Krepak, Head of international payment system Visa, congratulated Piraeus Bank with the 100th anniversary and awarded with diploma for the highest rate of payment cards usage among the Ukrainian banks.

As previously reported, Piraeus Bank will organize a unique exhibition ‘Our Athos’ which is a result of creative activity of Greek photographer Kostas Asimis – one of a few photographers in the world who is allowed to take pictures of Mount Athos.
