Piraeus Bank implements Open Banking in line with the NBU requirements
13 August 2026

Piraeus Bank has completed the first stage of its Open Banking implementation in line with the requirements of the National Bank of Ukraine.

At this stage, the bank has launched an Open Banking API for individual customers' accounts, acting as an Account Servicing Payment Service Provider (ASPSP). This means that licensed Third-Party Providers (TPPs), once they have integrated with Piraeus Bank's Open Banking API and subject to the customer's consent, will be able to access account information in accordance with Ukrainian legislation.

The implementation of Open Banking is an important step in the development of a modern financial ecosystem. It enables secure and standardized interaction between banks and licensed market participants. At the same time, customers retain full control over their data: they independently decide who may access their account information and for how long.

To explain how Open Banking works, its benefits, and the specifics of its implementation at Piraeus Bank, we have prepared a dedicated information page. There you will find details on:

  • what Open Banking is;

  • how the customer consent mechanism works;

  • how data protection is ensured;

  • who licensed Third-Party Providers (TPPs) are;

  • how Open Banking is implemented at Piraeus Bank.
