Piraeus Bank increased interest rates on deposits in EUR from 27 July 2015

According to the information from retail business department of Piraeus Bank, since July 27, 2015 the Bank raised deposit rates for individuals in euros for deposits “Standard”, “Standard online”, “Standard with replenishment”, “Pension” for a period of 1-12 months as well as for deposit “Take it higher” for a period of 3-6 months.

Starting from July 27th, deposit “Standard with replenishment” the maximum interest rate is 6.25% per annum, “Standard” – 7,25%. The rate for the deposit “Take it higher” increases during the term of the deposit and can vary from 4.75% to 6.25% per annum depending on deposit’s term. In case of opening “Pension” and “Standard online” in euro the relevant rates will be automatically increased by 0.25%.

Along with it the bank suspended opening of new agreements on deposit "Interest upfront", for all existing deposits interest rates remained unchanged.

“Considering the trends in the financial sector of the country, we update list of proposed deposits. We constantly study interests of our clients, that’s why we decided to increase rates on deposits for individual customers. Depending on the tenor and currency of deposit interest rates could reach 7.25% in euro which is now one of the most advantageous offers among the Ukrainian banks,”– commented Katerina Vinnitskaya, deputy director of retail business department of Piraeus Bank.

Earlier, the press service of Piraeus Bank reported that the rating agency “Credit-Rating” confirmed long-term credit rating of Piraeus Bank with “stable”outlook.
