“Being a part of the international financial Piraeus Bank Group, we understand that should not only make a profit, but also contribute to the social development of the country in which we develop our business”, – said Sergei Naumov, chairman of the Piraeus Bank’s Board, during his speech during the final “Chestnut Race” press conference, where the bank was awarded with a “Gratitude to a Partner” diploma for active participation and valuable contribution in organization and conducting process of the project. The press conference was held at the Center of Children Cardiology of Ministry of Health of Ukraine in Kiev on 8th June, 2015.
During the event, the organizers gave the Chief Doctor of the Center Vladimir Zhovnir the symbolic check for the record amount of UAH 650 ths that were collected with the help of more than 8 250 participants and sponsors of the Race. This year, the Center plans to purchase a new card for the angiographic device to restore the ability to pass inspection and be operated.
“Angiographic device allows to perform operations without incisions in the skin, – explains Vladimir Zhovnir, the Chief Doctor of the Center of Children Cardiology. – This unit facilitates many physiological procedures, provides opportunity to establish accurate diagnoses and make the right decisions while minimizing the risks associated with conducting operations on the heart”.
“I wish the Center of Children Cardiology that the Race was not the only source of charitable support and encourage other financial institutions to be more active and the example of Piraeus Bank to become financial partners of this event”, – said chairman of Piraeus Bank Sergey Naumov during a welcome speech at the press conference in the Center of Pediatric Cardiology.
Along with financial support, Piraeus Bank formed its own team from employees of the bank, who attracted to a healthy lifestyle their families, including children.

On July 21st, 2022, the National Bank of Ukraine introduced changes on the transactions and operations carried out abroad (outside of the territory of Ukraine) on Hryvnia (UAH) cards and accounts. Those new limitations are only related to operations, carried out abroad from UAH cards and accounts, whilst foreign currency cards and accounts have not been impacted from those restrictions. In detail:
UAH12.500 equivalent in foreign currency per 7 days from the first time of withdrawal. The limit is not calculated cumulatively.
UAH80.000 equivalent per calendar month for transactions at POS terminals (physical presence of card or NFC technology on phone), purchases on the internet secured by full 3DSecure* and recurring payments**.
UAH20.000 equivalent per calendar month for the rest type of online transactions.
