Piraeus Bank launched an online form for cardholders traveling abroad

Piraeus Bank launched an online form for card holders, that allows quickly and without any additional cost inform the bank about trip abroad. As states the press office of the bank, the new form is available for all website’s visitors in the section "Online Services" from February 26.

In order to increase the security of card’s payment abroad, one can inform the Bank about intention to use card during a trip abroad, by filling in a few fields: name, telephone number, card number (first 6 and last 4 digits), the country that is planned to visit and trip duration. If necessary, the customer can leave a comment for the bank’s employee, which will handle the request.

Complete the online form, you can in section Online services > Notification on traveling abroad.

"Piraeus Bank continues improvement of the interaction process with the banking institution. Now card holders can use a new opportunity – inform the Bank about intention to use card during a trip abroad online. In order to avoid unauthorized access to card, Piraeus Bank sets limits on withdrawals and card payments in some countries. Therefore, before leaving country, customers should notify about intention to use card abroad in advance. Online form allows clients to make it quickly and without any additional cost", – says Ilias Mouzakis, member of the Board, retail banking director.

Customers can still inform about intention to use the card abroad by phone 044 495-88-90 or 0-800-30-888-0 (calls from fixed line phones within Ukraine are free, from mobile – according to the operators’ tariffs) or in branch with appropriate application.

Earlier, the press service of Piraeus Bank reported that Piraeus Bank resumed UAH transactions’ authorization abroad and on foreign websites.
