At Piraeus Bank, we continue to enhance our mobile app Winbank as a key channel for customer communication and self-service. Our goal is to deliver maximum convenience, improve the efficiency of our digital services, and create an intuitive space for managing everyday finances. 

During the first half of 2025, the Piraeus Bank team introduced a range of updates designed to boost the app’s performance, increase its usefulness, and enhance personalization of the user experience. 

These updates are a result of our close attention to customer feedback and our commitment to meeting modern expectations for digital banking. 

What’s New in Winbank 

🔹 Card limit control: The “More” menu now displays NBU limits for cash withdrawals, transfers, and currency exchange, including limits on foreign transactions. Easily track how much of your NBU limit has been used and avoid declined transactions. 

🔹 Online data updates: You can now update your personal information anytime, directly in the app, without visiting a branch, whether prompted by the bank or on your own initiative. 

🔹 Quick access to key features: Long-press the Winbank icon on your smartphone’s home screen to instantly open support chat, make transfers, top up mobile phones, or exchange currency. 

🔹 Dark mode: Customize the app appearance to your preference under “More” → “Settings.” 

🔹 New notification center: The “Notifications” section (bell icon on the home screen) now combines all important messages from the bank. It features story-style updates with news, app tips, offers, and service guides. 

🔹 Financial tips in transaction history: Users receiving income above a certain amount get contextual suggestions — for example, to open a deposit or top up an existing one. The system takes into account your current products and gives tailored financial recommendations. 

🔹 Improved utility payment search: We've expanded the list of service providers and optimized the search process, making it even easier to find your company. 

🔹 Easy payments by QR or IBAN: 

Scan a QR code or IBAN — the payment details auto-fill. 

Upload an image with a QR or IBAN and pay in seconds. 

Generate your own QR code to receive transfers quickly and easily. 

🔹 Card status tracking: The app now alerts you when your card is about to expire or has already expired. Reissuing a card is easy and fully online — just open the card in the app and choose the preferred reissue method. 

🔹 Tactile feedback: We’ve added vibration feedback when interacting with features — improving the user experience and making the app feel even more responsive.
