Recently, the fourth annual Incident Response Days 4.0: FinHack Edition was held at the Kyiv Aviation Institute. The event focused on developing skills for responding to cyber incidents in the financial sector. It was organized by the National Cybersecurity Coordination Center under the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, the National Bank of Ukraine, and international partners.

The competition brought together more than a hundred cybersecurity specialists, institutional leaders, and representatives of international organizations. The program included a practical CTF (Capture the Flag) contest, technical training, strategic simulations, and coordination sessions aimed at practicing response scenarios to modern cyberattacks.

Vitalii Hlukhovskyi, Junior System Security Engineer at Piraeus Bank, ranked among the winners, taking 6th place.
As part of the event, we participated in a simulation where, as cybersecurity specialists, we had to investigate an incident involving unauthorized system access and gather as much information as possible about the attack. It was a completely new experience for me, providing valuable skills and many interesting insights,” shared Vitalii.
In addition to the competition, participants joined discussions on new cyber resilience testing systems introduced by the National Bank of Ukraine and listened to talks from international experts, including representatives of Mastercard.

The event once again demonstrated that cyber resilience is not only about technology but also about teamwork, strategic thinking, and the ability to respond quickly to modern challenges.
The Piraeus Bank team is proud of our colleagues who continue to grow their professional expertise and contribute to strengthening Ukraine’s cybersecurity.
