Representatives of Piraeus Bank Ukraine took part in the annual Banking Digital & AI Lab – 2025, organized by Business Format Group. This year event brought together over 100 leading experts from the banking sector, technology companies, and representatives of the FinTech industry to discuss the latest trends and practical applications of digital technologies and artificial intelligence in the banking sector.

As part of the program, Andrii Zhuravel, Head of Architectural Methodology, and Oleksii Lytvynenko, Head of Data Governance and Business Analysis, presented the case “AI Assistant for the Bank: Integration of LLM, SharePoint, and Teams.”

Key Insights from the Presentation

Andrii Zhuravel focused on the importance of building a solid foundation for information management. He emphasized the need for clear standards, systematization, and integration into the Bank’s overall architecture. He also highlighted the flexible and customizable potential of Microsoft products — with SharePoint as an ecosystem and Teams as an interface — enabling advanced automation, efficient access to knowledge, and seamless collaboration across the organization.

Oleksii Lytvynenko addressed data governance, business intelligence, and the transformative role of Large Language Models (LLMs). He outlined practical steps of implementation, from building data pipelines and developing reporting systems to integrating Azure OpenAI into the Bank’s ecosystem. According to him, AI opens opportunities for smarter decision-making, advanced analytics, and new growth directions in the banking industry.
