Last week, a group of the management team of Piraeus Bank Ukraine conducted an official working visit to the Piraeus Headquarters in Athens, Greece. The series of intensive, peer-to-peer strategic sessions was aimed at strengthening institutional alignment, enhancing synergies within the Group, and accelerating growth in the Ukrainian market. 

Moving away from formal reporting, the meetings focused on practical expertise exchange and the adaptation of advanced European banking practices for Ukraine. The teams aligned on joint milestones across several key strategic pillars: 

• Customer Experience (CX): launching joint initiatives focused on a customer-centric service model tailored to individual client needs. 

• Digital Banking & AI: implementing innovative solutions for digital channels and initiating collaborative projects in Artificial Intelligence. 

• Cybersecurity: integrating top-tier international standards to ensure robust data protection and secure financial operations. 

• Human Capital: driving a human-centric culture in team management, corporate leadership, and talent development. 

A key highlight of the working visit was a dedicated meeting with Piraeus CEO, Mr. Christos Megalou. During the discussion, Mr. Megalou highly praised the resilience, strength, and strong character demonstrated by the Ukrainian team under current challenging conditions. The visionary guidance and continued support from the parent Bank reinforce the bank’s commitment to turning market challenges into solid strategic opportunities for both corporate and retail clients in Ukraine. 

The leadership sessions were also guided by Georgios Georgopoulos, Chairperson of the Supervisory Board at Piraeus Bank Ukraine. His strategic perspective, combining practical business frameworks with an agile mindset, inspired participants to better understand how to translate vision into actionable strategy.
