Launch of the Student Internship Program at Piraeus Bank

In August 2025, the Piraeus HR team, led by Anna Zhuravlyova, took an important step toward developing young talent by launching a pilot student internship program. Thanks to Anna’s leadership, the Bank signed several cooperation memorandums with leading universities in Kyiv, including:

As a responsible employer, we recognize two major challenges: talent shortages in the country and the gap between academic knowledge and practical workplace skills. Our goal is to reduce this distance and help young people experience the true essence of banking as a modern industry.

Internships at Piraeus Bank are not just about gaining practical experience—they are an investment in a new generation of professionals who are already contributing to real business processes, working side by side with experts.

Here is what our interns say:

💬 Anastasiia Romanova, National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy

“What were your first impressions of the team and the company?”

From day one, I felt a friendly atmosphere, support, and a willingness to help. The team became my mentors and a source of motivation for my professional growth. Everyone I interacted with did their best to make my adaptation smooth. For me, Piraeus Bank is a company that inspires you to grow and develop professionally.

💬 Viktoriia Potomska, American University Kyiv

“What motivates you to come to your internship every day?”

The team and the feeling of personal growth. From the first weeks, I felt like part of the group—supported, taught, and involved in real projects. I truly value the opportunity to take a step toward my professional goals every day.

💬 Iryna Horobets, Kyiv School of Economics (KSE)

“How does the internship support your professional development?”

The internship allows me to apply the theoretical knowledge from university in practice. The skills I’m gaining here deepen my understanding of financial processes and improve my analytical abilities. Moreover, this experience is shaping a clearer vision of my future career.

We are grateful to our interns for their motivation, curiosity, and willingness to grow with us. We truly believe that real development begins with trust, support, and hands-on experience.

At Piraeus Bank, we believe that young people are the driving force of change. Now is the time to create an environment where knowledge turns into action, and ideas become real results.
Future Bankers is more than a first job experience — it is a launchpad for a career in the banking industry that combines skill development, practice, mentorship, and training, building confidence and a clear vision of the future.
