Financial Monitoring Transformation: National FINMON Forum 2026
04 June 2026

Recently, the National FINMON Forum 2026 took place, serving as the country's premier professional platform for discussing AML, sanctions, risk management, and banking compliance. Liubov Lytovchak, Management Board Member and Officer Responsible for Financial Monitoring at Piraeus Bank, was a featured speaker at the event.

The main trend of this year's discussion highlighted that financial control has completely evolved from outdated procedures of 10–15 years ago. Today, financial monitoring is no longer about mechanical screening or blindly submitting reports; instead, it represents a deep synergy of automated processes and high-level analytical expertise.

The key markers of this transformation include:

  • Case-based approach over templates. In the event of anomalous transactions, the system automatically aggregates a complete pool of necessary materials, allowing the analyst to thoroughly evaluate the entire context and specifics of the client’s business model.

  • Dynamic risk profiling. A company’s risk level is no longer a static indicator. The bank's automated algorithms review and update business metrics on a daily basis.

For Piraeus Bank, this analytical approach forms the foundation for building transparent, long-term, and secure relationships with clients based on a profound understanding of their business essence.

The bank expresses its gratitude to the organizers, LIGA ZAKON and the Ukrainian Compliance Association, for facilitating a high-quality professional dialogue for the expert community.
