Appeal to the customers of Piraeus Bank in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea
16 April 2014

Dear customers,

Let us express our respect and gratitude for the long-term and fruitful cooperation, loyalty and trust in our bank. Unfortunately, the political situation in the region has developed in such a way that Piraeus Bank has no longer the opportunity to continue its activities and therefore a difficult decision was taken to close its branches operating on the Crimean Peninsula since 15 April, 2014.

Due to the fact that the certain laws of the Russian Federation has come into effect, in particular the "On accepting the Republic of Crimea into the Russian Federation, and creation as part of the Russian Federation new subjects, which are Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol city with federal significance" Federal Constitutional Law and the "On the specifics of the Republic of Crimea financial system and the federal city of Sevastopol during the transitional period" Federal Law, JSC "Piraeus Bank ICB" , which is registered in the territory of Ukraine and operates only in accordance with the Ukrainian legislation, has no legal basis to continue the operation and support of banking services in the territory of Crimea.

At the same time, being a Ukrainian bank and a part of a powerful international group, Piraeus Bank guarantees full and unconditional implementation of all its obligations to Crimean customers and continues to provide qualitative banking services on the inland of the state of Ukraine.
