At the beginning of 2011 Piraeus Bank proposed to its customers a unique service for managing several accounts with a payment card. New advanced functionality of Visa card from Piraeus Bank in Ukraine makes possible for customers to freely use the funds placed at several accounts with different conditions of servicing. Since the New Year customers with only one card – Visa Classic or Visa Gold – issued by Piraeus Bank in Ukraine, have been granted the access to transfer funds between their own accounts (current account, salary account, “Free Access” account, account “Free” and pension account), withdraw funds and receive a statement of 10 last transaction at any time without visiting a branch. These services are available only in Piraeus Bank ATMs at the moment. Piraeus Bank is a member of the ATMoSphere network and its customers can still continue to use this network of ATMs to withdraw money from their main account. Furthermore, the information on the balance of own accounts is possible by calling Piraeus Bank 24 hour Contact Center 0 800 30 888 0.
Customer may also activate the SMS information service that notifies about the transactions carried out on additional accounts. The new service will enhance the security of payments, as long as all card transactions in the trading network and ATMs of other banks will be effected only with funds allocated on the main account (i.e. account the debit card was issued for). These measures will allow to secure the client’s funds allocated on the main and additional accounts from fraud to the uttermost.
«Piraeus Bank`s new offer makes the payment card a key to all customers` accounts, including current and saving accounts. It makes managing funds easier and convenient for customers. Moreover, they have a greater level of comfort about the safety of their funds because of the level of security applied», Ilias Mouzakis, Piraeus Bank in Ukraine`s Operations department deputy director, said.
New bank product is designed for the existing customers who have accounts in the bank or use other bank`s services, and also for the new clients. To get this product one should visit any one of Piraeus Bank`s branches, open accounts needed and apply to link a card to these accounts for free.
«This Piraeus Bank`s offer is unique for the Ukrainian market since none of the banks propose similar product with the same characteristics», Mr. Mouzakis informed.
