Piraeus Bank Team Joined HRD Summit 2026 in Kyiv
04 March 2026

On February 27, 2026, HRD Summit took place in Kyiv — one of the key events for Ukraine’s HR community and business leaders. The summit brought together HR directors, company executives, and people management experts to discuss current challenges in team development and corporate culture.

This year’s event focused on HR as a strategic business partner, the transformation of corporate culture, leadership development, and creating an environment where teams can achieve shared results even in times of uncertainty. Speakers shared practical case studies on employee engagement, building trust within organizations, and the responsibility of leaders for ensuring long-term business resilience.

The Piraeus Bank team joined the event to explore the latest HR practices, exchange insights with market peers, and further strengthen their expertise in the strategic development of human capital. For our team, participating in such events is an important part of our ongoing efforts to enhance corporate culture, improve team performance, and implement modern talent management approaches.

“It was valuable to hear about current practices of Ukrainian companies in implementing HR solutions, as well as the workflows that support team learning and development. Particular attention was given to systematic upskilling and mentoring approaches, which help enhance expertise even in challenging conditions. Companies shared their experience in building learning programs both in Ukraine and while scaling teams into new markets. This once again highlighted the role of learning and development as key tools for business resilience,” —  shares Natalia Plakhova, Head of Learning and Talent Development at Piraeus Bank.

“Today, HR is a strategic business partner. It is about shaping culture, developing leadership, and creating an environment where teams work toward a common goal.
It is about placing people at the center of strategy — trust, values, engagement, and leadership accountability.
In times of uncertainty, teams do not need perfect managers; they need honest, open, and consistent leaders.
Together with my colleagues, we once again reaffirmed that the competitive advantage of any organization lies in its people and their ability to move in the same direction,” said Kateryna Detiuk, Deputy HR Director at Piraeus Bank.

We firmly believe that people and strong teams are the foundation of sustainable growth, and we will continue investing in leadership development, corporate culture, and the professional community.
