Piraeus Bank in Ukraine starts mortgage lending with low fixed interest rates

From now on Ukrainians can take out mortgage loans in Piraeus Bank with fixed interest rate 14.9% per annum in hryvna for the tenor up to 20 years.

«Due to co-operation with State Mortgage Agency we offer mortgage loans for apartment or house purchasing on secondary market with fixed interest rates that are much less than standard mortgage terms in Ukraine, - Oleksandr Gnilenko, Piraeus Bank in Ukraine Deputy Director of Retail Banking Department, said. – If a borrower applies to the real estate agency, which is the bank’s partner, the interest rate might be even lower – up to 14.5% per annum in hryvna».

Procedure of loan formalization for purchasing an apartment or a house with a plot of land in Piraeus Bank is rather simple and transparent, without hidden fees. Thus, minimal down payment is 30% of the real estate value. Additional payments are minimal and consist of upfront fee (2%) and necessary insurance fees, including real estate insurance and accident insurance, if the borrower reached 45 at the moment of agreement’s concluding.

“The term of the preliminary decision making is only one day even without documents on mortgage collateral. Given the full package of documents including those on mortgage collateral Piraeus Bank makes a decision on mortgage lending in 3 days, – Mr. Gnilenko underlined. – Moreover, the early repayment is possible without penalties».
