The reputable business weekly “Novoe vremya strany” in conjunction with the Dragon Capital investment company ranked TOP-20 the most reliable banks in Ukraine. As states the press office of Piraeus Bank in Ukraine, the financial institution took 11th place among the most reliable banks. Along with Piraeus Bank the top ten entered as the state-owned banks – Oschadbank, Ukreximbank, Ukrgasbank and the bank with the European capital – Raiffeisen Bank Aval, UkrSibbank, Credit Agricole, Kredobank.
“We believe that this is a well-deserved evaluation of our Bank in Ukraine. Earlier we noted that the financial performance of Piraeus Bank indicates the ability of the Bank in time and fully implement all its obligations towards depositors and all our legal entities. We believe that high position of Piraeus Bank in the reliability rating in the business weekly “Novoe vremya strany” is another confirmation of the right strategy of the Bank, which is focused on high liquidity and capitalization of the Bank, high-quality service, increase in customer base and operating efficiency – said Sergey Naumov, chairman of the Piraeus Bank’s Board.
The Banks’ ratings were determined by the investment company Dragon Capital, based on the amount of points, which the bank received on the basis of indicators such as capital adequacy, liquidity, stability of funding, support of shareholders, customers’ trust, transparency of bank balance risk management, reputation.
“From our point of view, participation in this rating - is a good indicator. These institutions that we trust the post,” – said Anastasia Tuyukova, senior analyst at Dragon Capital.
Earlier, the press service of Piraeus Bank reported that the Bank has been assigned the highest deposit rating by Credit-Rating Agency.
On July 21st, 2022, the National Bank of Ukraine introduced changes on the transactions and operations carried out abroad (outside of the territory of Ukraine) on Hryvnia (UAH) cards and accounts. Those new limitations are only related to operations, carried out abroad from UAH cards and accounts, whilst foreign currency cards and accounts have not been impacted from those restrictions. In detail:
UAH12.500 equivalent in foreign currency per 7 days from the first time of withdrawal. The limit is not calculated cumulatively.
UAH80.000 equivalent per calendar month for transactions at POS terminals (physical presence of card or NFC technology on phone), purchases on the internet secured by full 3DSecure* and recurring payments**.
UAH20.000 equivalent per calendar month for the rest type of online transactions.
