We are happy to share that Yannis Kyriakopoulos, CEO of Piraeus Bank in Ukraine, has been elected Chairman of the Forum of Leading International Financial Institutions (FLIFI), which operates under the umbrella of the American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine.
FLIFI plays a vital role in fostering a stable and transparent Ukrainian banking system, advocating for its members' interests, shaping regulatory frameworks, and promoting professional development.
Yannis brings a wealth of experience to this position. He has served in various Boards of Directors of Piraeus Bank Group banks, other financial institutions and real estate companies, as well as acted as Vice Chairman of Hellenic Seaways. Before joining Piraeus Bank, Yannis worked for KPMG, Arthur Andersen and Ionian Bank in London. He is a graduate of Democritus University, Greece in Civil Engineering and holds an MSc degree in Engineering from the City University, London and an MSc degree in Investment Management from Bayes (ex CASS) Business School, London. He has served as Chairman of the Hellenic Bankers Association-UK.
In the past, he has served as Piraeus Bank’s Group General Manager of International Banking, Corporate & Shipping Finance and Wealth Management.
With his dedication and extensive background, Yannis will guide FLIFI in addressing industry challenges, strengthening global collaboration, and driving innovation in the banking sector.
