Piraeus Bank joined BankID system of NBU for the convenience of its customers
12 July 2024

Piraeus Bank continues to develop remote services for its customers and joined the BankID system of the National Bank of Ukraine as an identifier subscriber. From now on, its individual customers will be able to remotely access online services provided by government and commercial institutions, NGOs, banks and non-bank financial institutions in a matter of minutes using BankID. This service has a high level of personal data protection due to the use of modern encryption technologies.

It works quite easily:

  • The client chooses the option of identification through the NBU BankID, ordering the required service remotely on an online resource that supports this system. The list of service portals that support the identification system is available on the NBU website
  • Selects Piraeus Bank from the list and confirms his/her identity through the Winbank application.
  • The NBU's BankID system transmits the necessary data to confirm the identity, and the client immediately gets access to the required service. There is no need to visit a particular institution.

"We are pleased to offer our customers even more opportunities for comfortable and secure use of banking services. Joining the BankID system of the NBU is another step towards the digital transformation of the bank and improvement of the quality of service," commented Mykhailo Serhiienko, Director of Digital Business Development of Piraeus Bank.

More information about the NBU BankID system is available on the website of the National Bank of Ukraine — https://bank.gov.ua/en/bank-id-nbu
