Piraeus Bank will install “Media Zone” during the sports and charitable campaign “Chestnut Race”

Piraeus Bank will support for the second time annual sports and charitable campaign the “Chestnut Race”, which is scheduled on Monday, June 1 in Kiev. This year, the route length of 5 km will be as following: Mykhailivska Square- Vladimirsky passage – Sophia Square – Vladimirskaya Str. – Lva Tolstogo Str. – Lva Tolstogo Square – Velyka Vasylkivska Str. and backwards.

Last year, Piraeus Bank also supported the Race: for the first time since the launch of “Chestnutt Race” annual sports and charitable campaign that the “Media Zone” was installed by Piraeus Bank. This initiative was implemented to ensure comfortable conditions for media representatives during the event and it was equipped with the access to the Internet and working materials.

“We constantly support important for people and society projects like helping orphans, sponsoring students, transferring funds to hospitals, and soon we will go on to the start of the Race so the doctors of the Pediatric Cardiology Center could save the as many children’s lives with serious heart diseases as possible” – commented Ilias Mouzakis, member of the Board of Piraeus Bank.

This year, Piraeus Bank as a reliable financial institution with 100 years of experience, broaden its support for the charity event: along with a media zone installation became a financial partner of the event. Participation in the Race embodies the concept of the bank's concept "Sharing the best", as in fact such large-scale projects develops mutual relations of people and strengthen positive attitude of population to a healthy lifestyle.

Along with providing financial support, Piraeus Bank will form its own team from the bank’s employees, who will overcome a five-kilometer distance together with other participants of the 23rd charity marathon.

Earlier, the press service of Piraeus Bank stated that Piraeus Bank will become title partner of 23rd annual sports and charitable campaign the “Chestnut Race”.
