Piraeus Bank helps towards the implementation of the project on tactical medicine!
25 July 2024

As part of our responsibility and support on the way to assist our armed forces, Piraeus Bank made a charitable contribution for tactical medicine training.

💡 Why is it important?

On the battlefield, the life of the wounded often depends on practical knowledge of first aid and what is in the tactical first aid kit. Self-help is only 20% of what a wounded person can do to survive. The rest of the help is provided by colleagues, and their training determines whether the wounded will survive until evacuation.

Thanks to the support of Piraeus Bank, the Tactical Medicine West instructor team held 20 trainings in June, training 415 soldiers in different regions of Ukraine. Tactical medicine is a life-saving skill, and it needs to be constantly updated.

🚑 Problem and solution: High-quality tactical medicine training is an acute problem, as there is a catastrophic shortage of instructors. The solution is to involve freelance volunteer instructors with a quality base.

‘Providing high-quality tactical medicine training will increase the chances of survival for our soldiers. It gives us strength to continue our work when we see the results of the cadets' knowledge. We are grateful for the financial support, thanks to which we can conduct life-saving training,’ said Yevhen Prytula, head and chief instructor of the Tactical Medicine West volunteer unit of instructors.

💪 By supporting the teams of instructors, we are investing in the lives of our defenders. This is our common duty and contribution to victory!
